People have long traversed our grand state along the Platte River, a braided river, in search of excitement, adventure, and home. This journey has formed well known trails and highways that were used by wildlife, Indians, pioneers and others. The current Platte gives life not only to the wildlife, but also the farmers, ranchers and their families that have made their homes along the shores.

Quilters are on a journey home. We start our quilt journey, take rest periods, change directions, but we continue forward to find our joy in what we create. Like a braided river, what gives us joy at one moment may change with the course of life events; but what is important is that the journey home continues.

We invite you to further discern your path in your quilt journey home by joining other like minded travelers at QuiltNebraska 2017, July 27th through the 29th in Kearney Nebraska. Stop along the braided river on your journey home.
